ARTIST BIO

I have been involved in art for many years...first in theatre & dance and in later years painting. I have taken part in many group exhibitions,  solo shows, art prizes and my works can be found in several public buildings with an extensive collection at the Mercy private hospital in Melbourne.  I lived in Greece for many years and my work can also be found in several public buildings and private business in Athens and the island of Ios. As well as Singapore, Dubai, USA, Germany and the United kingdom.

I opened my first gallery  \'ART UPSTAIRS\'  on the Mornington peninsula in 2010. In 2015 l opened FLOCK OF SEAGULLS INDOOR MARKET  & CAFE which houses a large art gallery and has 5 resident artists including sculpture & an onsite fine art jeweler.  I was able to bring together many local artists and artisans to  make a  vibrant and creative space for everyone to enjoy and where the public can buy direct from the artist without the hefty commissions usually incurred. It also gives everyone an opportunity to  be a part of the creating process. I love the collaborative aspect of commissions and am always happy to answer any questions.

My work is usually a reflection of what\'s going on in my head & my heart.  I am inspired by nature, the gorgeous beaches on the Mornington peninsula...but mostly I am inspired by concepts, by ways l think about life and how we all fit in.  I love all genre\'s of music and am  inspired by what l\'m listening to at the time. My works are often very textured, l use the texture as a subtext and  colour to tell the story rather than form.

The majority of my work is at Flock of seagulls ...2211 Pt Nepean Rd, Rye. I am also showing at Gallery 9. Level 2 Como house, Sth Yarra.
